Bastille day fireworks, Dijon — July 14th 2005
Second entry in the Bastille day fireworks series. It wasn’t easy to select the photos to publish this week; this might not sound very humble but I’m pleased with most of the fifty-or-so shots taken during the show. Either fireworks are easy to photograph or I’ve been really lucky…
As noted in yesterday’s comments, the fireworks are partly masked by tree silouhettes, which can be guessed in today’s shot in the bottom-left and upper-right corners. There was quite a crowd around the lake and that made it difficult to find a wide open view without tree foliage. I thought this would spoil the shots, but in fact I’m quite pleased with the results.

Hey I’m liking this series, this shot IMO is better than yesterdays due to the colouring and yeah you’re probably a natural :o)

Wow, great firework shots. What settings did you use for these shots? Very unique look for photos of fireworks. I like the redesign a lot. Keep it up!
