Lille — f/2.6, 1/400 sec
Can’t find much to write about this shot except that it would have been much better with less barrel distortion so as to emphasize the vertical lines. What do you think?

Check out the Lens Fix and PanoTools plugins for this sort of correction - I use them myself to correct barrel distortion with the 18-55 kit lens for the Digital Rebel. I’m pretty sure that there are several Optio versions in the lens database.

Nicely seen - great juxtaposition of patterns and shapes!

This shot works very well. The repeating patterns are beautiful and the different brick colors really almost makes this 2 photos in one!

Actually, I quite like the distortion, but then I’m a distortion freak - I like things to look different. Cool shot!

I like it but I think it might work better without the distortion. You can try using the punch/pinch filter in PS for a quick fix. It would work really well as an image split down the middle, it almost looks like different shots.

I really like this. Great contrast between two completely different architectural styles, and the patterns are wonderful. Great photo.
