Jaws

f/2.6, 1/40 sec

This is my entry for Thursday Challenge’s ‘Tools’ theme. It’s the result of my first “studio” session which was fun to do. It has been post-processed to boost the white background a bit. I’m quite pleased with the shot, especially how the large aperture creates a small depth of field, something that is not always easy to control with my point-and-shoot camera. What do you think?

I think the depth of field is great here! I also really like the minimal color. Making the background white seems to boost the “punch” of the red color.

Funny interaction between the tools too. :)

I like this very much. The small depth of field certainly works.
Unlike Deborah (above) I don’t see it as “erotic”, but think it is violent.

Title: “Tools Attack”. Great shot. Almost looks surreal with the
soft BG.

I’m trying to see it as erotic, but it reminds me instead of two dinosaurs fightingin an old low-budget movies. This doesn’t mean I don’t like it — I do.

I like your way of thinking - you have a very different eye for details. Nice interpretation of the mechanical (dog eat dog) world.
keep up the good work.
