Lonely Arm

Rouen – August 2005

I’m still digging the archives here. There’s some recent shots in the pipeline, I just need to find to time to work on them.

This image was converted to black and white using the channel mixer. There’s a good article at Earthbound Light explaining how to do this.

ooo - this looks like a scary house with the skulls and crossed daggers. what is the story behind this shot and the house?

Goeff: The shot shows one of the walls of the ‘Aitre Saint-Maclou’ in Rouen, a courtyard built during the 16th century to bury plague victims. All the walls are decorated similarly. Today the building hosts the Rouen’s Fine Arts school.

The b&w works very well. I also like the framing!
