Montebello Boulevard, Lille
For this one it was clear in my mind before I shot it: color!
(See yesterday’s picture if you don’t know what I’m talking about.)
Update 2005-06-02: Upon Marc’s advice here’s a monochrome version of the same image obtained using the channel mixer. What do you think? Which one do you prefer?

But it does look pretty cool if you convert it to b&w using either the green or blue channel. Channel Mixer -> green 100% or blue 100%. Sometimes very colourful subjects work well in B&W, like this one of mine (excuse the self-promotion) - http://www.ttltt.com/architecture/olives_bw.php

I like them both! The colour one really brings out the character of the scene, colourful and friendly, while the b&w emphasies the classic lines of the structure, from the brickwork to the windows and doors. I think the most striking part of the latter image is the arch over the door, really stands out in b&w although i’d sort of glossed over it in the colour version.
…Am i allowed to post two comments? :-p
