Lille, last weekend — f/5.0, 1/640 sec

Unlike most of my last shots, this one has received just a little post-processing in the form of a slight saturation adjustment layer. I don’t know why but this makes me feel happy. Is it the same for you?

I remember the first time I had a photo that I was happy with and realised there was no post-processing I could do to make it better. It was great, I thought, “Finally, I’ve got one RIGHT!” That said, I don’t see anything wrong with post processing, and I intensely dislike people who think that not doing it makes them superior to those who do.

Nicely spotted! I love how the unusual brick line near the top of the building is complemented by the angular shadow of its neighbor.
