Wheel
Lille, winter 2004
Update: As suggested by Massimo, here’s a new version in which the building that’s visible in the bottom-left of the original shot has been removed. I think I prefer this new version as the wheel becomes the only subject of the picture. What do you think?

Good night shot. There is nice detail on the wheel!

Great colours and exposure. That’s a cool looking ferris wheel.

Since you have the bottom of the wheel cropped, have you thought of cropping also the left side, just to leave out the building on the bottom left? It may be interesting to see how it would be to have only the luminous wheel on the black sky, without the building that gives the physical scale of it. Good photo (not easy to get it so sharp given the low light).

I agree. Since you don’t have the whole wheel in the first place, you might as well crop out the distracting building as well.

Now the 2nd picture really talks to me!

Yes, I think the second picture does work better - for me, it has more impact because the eye is drawn to the centre of the wheel without any distractions. It’s a very nice shot.

Yes, it came out exactly as I though. Really a great photo!
