Worn-Out

Lille – Last weekend

If I remember correctly, this is the entrance to one of the Lille university buildings.

I was going to post the black and white version of this shot (that you can see here), but I changed my mind and went for the worn-out colors which I find more interesting. What do you think?

Hmm. Well I think I am more fond of the black and white, but only because of the subject. For whatever reason, old buildings feel like they should be seen in black & white…but that’s just me. Great shot either way.

Love it! It looks as if the shot is one of those old B&W’s that have been touched up with colour. Well done :-)

I think I prefer the B&W, you can see more detail in the stonework and it looks more contrasty.

In this case I have to go with the colour version. I think because it just has more personality and doesn’t seem as flat as the b/w. Both are great though in their own ways.

I like the b+w but I think you’re right, the colours in this image do give the building more character.
