Full-Color Memories
A bit of color and warmth from our trip to Jura last July that should help us chase off the last few days that have been cold and rainy out there in France. Some post-processing has been applied to the original image in order to make it look more like my own memories of the scene: puffy clouds, bluer sky and greener grass.

Your commentary makes it sound like you made the clouds puffier in post-processing.

(Though, didn’t that just happen in a Reuters photo, so to speak?)
Anyway, just wanted to say that I love this scene. I also really like the (new?) addition of thumbnails to your RSS feed! Or did I just not remember having seen them before today?

luminouslens: Mmm, “puffy” perhaps wasn’t a very good choice. Let’s try with “vivid”?

There’s quite a bit of work going on behind the curtain on UZ, and thumbnails in the RSS feed are part of it. (Actually they once were enabled but disappeared without me noticing after a WordPress update. Silly me.) From now on you can even click on the thumbnail to go to the full-size image.

Perfectly idyllic - processed with effective restraint. Soooo easy to go overboard in ’sweetening’ a scene like this, but you add just enough to make it all come together from your mind’s eye to ours.

Turfdigger: I had a version with a yellow sky, purple grass, and blinking clouds, but it seemed a bit excessive.
