Hey, what is a photoblog, by the way?

Glad you asked. According to Wikipedia, “a photoblog is a form of a blog, differentiated by the predominant use of and focus on the author’s photographs rather than text.” You can expect a new photo on Urban Zebra every few days.

Where does the name “Urban Zebra” come from?

To be honest, I don’t remember very well. I know I wanted a name made up of two words, that would be associated with photography, and that was cool and easy to remember. I’m positive at least one of these requirements has been fulfilled. Hey, it could have been worse: for some time I thought about using “Flying Platypus”.

How can I express my feelings on your photos?

If you want to give your take on a photo posted on Urban Zebra, just leave a comment at the bottom of the photo page. Don’t be afraid of saying what you think; criticism is welcome as I’m an amateur photograph and always looking for ways to improve my shots. Even a simple ‘Hi, I like this shot very much!’ is enough to make me happy.

What gear do you use?

I usually shoot with a Canon EOS 350D I bought at the end of March 2005. Prior to that I used a Pentax Optio 330RS. Most pictures are post-processed with Lightroom.

Under the hood, Urban Zebra is powered by WordPress, PHP, and MySQL. Hosting is provided by Celeonet.fr. Also part of the process: Mac OS X, TextWrangler, Transmit, and Subversion.

What is your problem with correct English spelling and grammar?
