I’m not really happy with the brightness of the sky; I wish it was more blue and less milky. What do you think?

This is so very lovely. I love the soft colors and texture of the grass, and the gentle rolling hills and hazy sky. Just great!

Oh, and personally, I don’t mind the color of the sky. I actually prefer this to bright blue in this case.

Super picture. Honestly, the picture is SO strong that you don’t notice the sky. The composition works well- the fence and the background mountains funnel your eyes into the left of the picture, right up to the gate, then the road and into the pass of the mountain. Well done!

I agree, I only looked at the sky after reading your comment. And you can’t fight nature (except in photoshop.)

It is a beautiful image, I like the composition and the overall light. I don’t mind the color of the sky. If you want to render it more dramatic, you can make it darker with photoshop using “curves” on a layer mask with a vertical gradient (in order to make darker only the upper part of the image, with the sky). It may sound as an artificial photo manipulation but in the end is equivalent to the old darkroom trick of selectively dodging a print using a mask…

I think the sky here is better off not being too rich. This way, it doesn’t compete with the rest of the composition here. I love the little hint of road in the top corner - great touch. This really makes me want to go back to Scotland.

I agree with the other comments. The ground is exposed perfectly, and that’s really what’s important here. Nice shot!
