Royal Albert Hall

London – Summer 2004

I was going to post another shot from Lille taken last weekend, but then I thought something more colorful couldn’t hurt after the gloomy pictures of the last three days.

Due to, once again, having forgotten my tripod, this shot had to be taken with the camera rested on a fence. It explains the less-than-correct composition. Yet I love the colors and the shot reminds me of all the beautiful things I saw during this London trip.

(What can’t be seen in this shot is the nearby Albert Memorial which I definitely wouldn’t count as one of these beautiful things. I know that it’s difficult for a French to understand British taste and this would normally refrain me from such a definitive judgment, but in the case of the Albert Memorial I simply can’t keep quiet. If you’ve ever seen it you know what I mean. I’ve had nightmares just because of that, uhm, thing…)

(Apart from that I’ve got no bias again Brits, I swear.)

Oh my! I really laughed so hard at your comment there! I have to agree with it though! ;-)

The colours in this shot are raelly nice! And although the positioning of the shot it is not perfect the colours make it look quite striking. Considering it hasn’t been taken with a tripod I think it was a very good effort!

Which is why you cut off the statue guy’s head? ;)

Yeah, I like people who are opinionated about architecture! The colors are nice and it is impressively sharp for no-tripod. Too bad about that statue’s head, though. :)
