I just couldn’t resist shooting this L-shaped tower once again, this time in its natural environment made of glass and metal.

You’ve probably noticed that the site has a new skin (unless you’re reading this in a newsreader, in which case I invite you to come and take a look). I’ve been working for some weeks now on a new layout focused on simplicity and usability. It took me much of my free time but it was worth the effort. I’m especially satisfied with the new calendar view; see the February 2005 archives for a sample of what I’m talking about.

Now that the redesign is over I can go back to check other photoblogs and comment on the great photos published here and there, something that I hadn’t much time to do lately.

(And don’t hesitate to give your opinion on the new design!)

Update (2005-03-25): Submitted to Lens Day’s ‘Posed’ challenge.

i really like the low contrast look of this photo and all the lines and curves.

oh yeah and the new archive looks great! i especially like the calendar view, very clean and simple. What happens if you post more than one photo a day though?

Really like the new look - the archives look very stylish. I’m in the process of redesigning mine too but I think your idea of the date bar is a nice touch - mine is a bit too minimalist I think!

I like the photo too - there are a good mixture of angles and focal points. I’d love to see what it looks like with the Crowne Plaza cropped out though. I think it may accentuate the difference between the curved and ‘L’ shaped buildings even more.

I like the new look and the archives are great! Great job with the redesign. The only thing I think I miss is the old title banner, the name of your site seems a little lost now.

I like this design, and the calendar view is quite handy…
